The new single was rerecorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound in Waltham, MA by Rob Ignazio, and also mixed by Rob at his Studio 329 in Glenville, NY. The horns and backing vocals were recorded at the Record Co. in Boston by Brad Robertson and it was mastered by Dave Locke at JP Masters in Seattle. We were joined by some our best friends and musicians in the New England area for the session - Mickey Maguire (The Blues Express, Luther “Guitar Jr” Johnson) on bass - Harrison Foti (The Blues Express, River Sang Wild, Troy Mercy) on drums - Ken Clark (Bernard Purdie, Melvin Sparks, David "Fathead" Newman) on keys - Johnny Blue Horn (Chicken Slacks, Matt Stubbs) on trumpet & horn arr. - Mario Perrett (Dwayne Haggins, The Love Dogs, Evan Goodrow, Luther “Guitar Jr” Johnson) on saxophones & horn arr. - Robin Hathaway (Robin Hathaway’s Big Mouth Blues Band, 5 Flavor Discount, Whole Lotta Heart) on backing vocals (which she also arranged) and Sharlene Lamont (Booty Vortex, Dominoes FX) joining Robin on backing vocals and tambourine!
